LIVE Audio/Visual Installation Capture with mixed sound.

2019 - Marfa, Texas Commission - A Museum Life

-I made this installation with the use of real time visual manipulation from Audio. All Video is fed through MAX for Live and manipulated by the frequencies of the audio.

-The Audio was done in 7.1 surround but mixed in Stereo.

-All original images were taken from the harsh and beautiful Far West Texas landscape on location in Marfa, Texas. The work was done by acclaimed director, Jose Antonio Prat.

-The concept behind this work was the take these images and manipulate them to be unrecognizable but beautiful. It is the the seamless integration and interweaving between boundaries, borders, and human nature. The audio was taken from my playing but most was field recording captured from the different areas around the Marfa area.

Further is a traveling laboratory for experiential hospitality and collaborative culture launched in 2017 by Design Hotels. We transform hotels across the globe into temporal hubs of thematic exploration. Further brought six Mexican and Mexico-based artists to Marfa to create a series of interactive, site-specific works in collaboration with Anónimo, a pioneering contemporary art platform that conceals authorship until a work of art is sold to free it from preconceptions about a work’s economic value.

A four part installation of interactivity. Made in collaboration with Flute player, scholar, and inventor Melody Chua.

The sound recording is composed and produced with the state of life in mind and a conversation on the phone with my mother about my fathers breathing habits at night.
